About Us
We are a community of faith working to reduce gun violence in the Denver Metro area by dismantling guns and forging the parts into life-giving tools. Why Dismantle Guns?
With over 400 million guns in American homes, many of these guns are no longer wanted for a range of reasons. Guns to Gardens safe surrender events provide a way to dispose of unwanted guns without returning them to the gun marketplace, where they could be used for future harm.
Dismantle Your Gun
Gun owners are invited to safely surrender their unwanted, unloaded guns at our events. You’ll remain in your vehicle while trained volunteers dismantle your gun(s). Gift cards ($50+, depending on the type of gun) are offered to you as a thank you for your choice to safely dismantle.
How It Works
Gun owners are invited to safely surrender their unwanted, unloaded guns at our events. The guns are dismantled by our trained volunteers. Then, the leftover metal pieces are transformed into garden tools, artwork, or other life-giving materials. These materials are then given back to the community or sold to continue to fund our work.
